One day, Michael and Lenna’s mutual friend (*cough* Tyler *cough*) gave Michael Lenna’s number. Of course, it took Michael some time to actually text Lenna for the first time.
It was COVID times, so eventually they met up in person at Sidecut Metropark in Maumee for the first time. Outdoor walks were the best option for the two to get to know each other.
The first restaurant they went to was Cocina De Carlos in Perrysburg. Michael lived in an apartment down the street so often they would walk and get a Pineapple Don Charly with a pitcher and a half of golden margarita (salt on the rim). Many times, they would be walking (waddling) back to Michael’s.
But they also did outdoorsy things such as hiking, playing Disc golf (which Lenna is no good at), and kayaking.
After two years they decided to move into a house together. And a month later adopted a dog (Ringo). A month after that they adopted two cats: Void (nickname Little), Houdini (nickname Big).
Eventually, Michael decided that it would be a good idea to get engaged and proposed on Christmas Eve 2023.
And that’s where they are now.
